What’s your earliest musical memory?
When I was thirteen, I slow danced with a girl, and we did that 'Lady and the Tramp’ kind of thing. It was a common game among teenies back then.

What was it that drove you to get into the music industry?
I was fascinated by the vibes, it was something new and totally different, I wanted to be a part of it. Thereupon I bought my first turntables.

Who have been the most influential people in your musical development?
Towards the turn of the millenium I was inspired by Silicon Soul, Roger Sanchez, Mojo, Daft Punk a.m.o. Later on there were Afrilounge (a very good and dear friend of mine), Nicolas Jaar etc.

Who inspires you outside of music?
I grew up in Appenzell, a place with a beautiful landscape. Therefore I’m strongly bonded to the nature, I love taking a walk, and sometimes being on my own.

What are the biggest three challenges facing you at this moment in time?
I don’t have any specific challenges, but the desire to make progress and to achieve something new puts a lot of pressure on you, and sometimes it’s just not easy at all. But as long as it’s still fun I will keep going.

What is the best event you’ve appeared at and why?
One of the best experiences i had was at the first Lighthouse Festival. I was playing at the beach at sunset and it was all cloudy and stormy. But the sunbeams shone through the clouds and the crowd was energized by this magical athmosphere.

If you could collaborate with ANYONE in the world (past or present) who would it be and why?
Actually I never thought about that. But working with DJ Koze or David August would be very impressing.

If you weren’t in the music game, what game would you be playing?
Besides the music I work in the gastronomy branch. I’m sure that if I weren’t in the music game, I would do this full-time.

Who gives you the most support in your life and work?
Friends and Family

If you only had 3 months to live, what would you want to do with them?
Work off that Bucket list I have. Do things like travelling places I haven’t been to yet, spending as much time with family and friends as possible, trying to settle differences etc.
