A-Wing returns to what is one of the UK’s most jaw-dropping locations for a party; a prison housed in Lancaster Castle perched above the historic city which has already begun to change the face of clubbing events in the city over the last two years.
Previous A-Wing guests include Pete Tong, Metrik, Derrick Carter, Rob Da Bank, James Zabiela, Carl Craig, The 2 Bears, Graeme Park, Mike Pickering and Dimitri from Paris, in a setting unlike anything else. Owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, the castle and prison sets the scene for with its intimate capacity across two floors quipped throughout with Funktion-One sound, returning this autumn across Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October bringing more amazing names to Lancaster.
Saturday sees something really special, as the Lancaster born duo Bondax make their debut at A-Wing. Adam Kaye and George Townsend initially attracted interest through BBC Introducing, which eventually got them airtime on BBC Radio 1 from DJs Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw. Bondax's evocative music drifts between urban sonic landscapes, always seeking to avoid classification; incorporating elements of post-dubstep, R&B, and garage, the guys craft an intimate, electronic sound which reveals something new with each time they play. Despite the fact that Adam and George are still young, their music shimmers with a maturity and sophistication which they will bring to A-Wing this October to dance-floor smashing effect. Support will be announced soon for this show.
